I went to the barber to get a haircut today, and the hairdresser confirmed a long-standing suspicion of mine… I have a receding hairline. I’ve been worried about the possibility for the past few years, especially since my dad has really bad male pattern baldness… but finally receiving confirmation from an external source has absolutely devastated me. I just can’t seem to catch a win when it comes to my appearance, I struggle with acne, always have a shadow due to possessing the unfortunate combination of light skin and black hair, and generally look like a blob of dough. My hair was about the only part of my appearance I actually liked… but now I can’t even have that…
